Sol Skin- Calendula Skin Oil

Calendula oil is made from calendula flowers, known in Hebrew as tziporei hatul. They belong to the daisy family and have been used for healing for thousands of years.
We have been growing them organically for several years, and they are a key ingredient in many of our products.
The calendula flowers are harvested by hand at midday, when the flowers are in full bloom.
The flowers are dried in full shade, which preserves their medicinal quality.
After drying, the calendula flowers are packed into jars and steeped in oil for 3 months to extract as much of their active compounds as possible.
The extraction is done in cold-pressed olive and almond oils.
The extraction process is carried out without heating the oil, to preserve its quality and prevent oxidation.
The oil produced by this process is of very high quality and has strong healing abilities.

Calendula oil nourishes the skin and makes it more supple, maintains its natural moisture, is anti-inflammatory and soothes the skin.
It is used to heal a variety of skin problems: wounds, burns, inflammations, scars, sun damage and bites.
It is very effective at soothing itching, redness, dandruff, skin allergies, eczema, rashes and skin irritations.
It restores dry, cracked skin.
Because it is a gentle oil that still has strong healing abilities, it is also used internally: it can ease and heal mouth ulcers (canker sores) and ulcers of the digestive system (peptic ulcers), and has even been found effective against the Helicobacter pylori bacterium.
Excellent for restoring scars and stitches after surgery and after childbirth.
The oil is antifungal, so it helps treat fungal skin infections and also relieves vaginal yeast infection (candida).
It is also wonderful as a gently scented massage oil.
A powerful yet gentle oil, which makes it very suitable for use on children and babies as well.
