Tea tree essential oil

Tea tree essential oil comes from a shrub that grows in Australia.
The local inhabitants of Australia used it as a medicinal plant for hundreds of years.
It was discovered by the West through a British expedition that reached Australia about 200 years ago, and research on it began.
Tea tree oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Its main uses:

• An excellent disinfectant, which makes it effective for disinfecting wounds, cuts and scratches.
• Soothes the skin: burns, insect bites, rashes and itching.
• Naturally eases various skin inflammations such as psoriasis and eczema.
• A natural treatment for acne.

Repels lice. Dilute a few drops in a carrier oil and apply to the hair before combing. For prevention, apply the diluted oil behind the ears.
Thanks to its antifungal abilities, it helps treat fungal skin infections and nail fungus.
Tea tree oil is very safe to use: unlike most essential oils, it can be dripped directly onto the affected area as first aid, with no need for a carrier oil.
For daily, long-term use on the skin, it is best to dilute it in a carrier oil.

For an adult, add 5-10 drops of essential oil to 10 ml of carrier oil (about a tablespoon).
For a child over age 6, add 4-6 drops of essential oil to 10 ml of carrier oil.
For little ones, add 1-2 drops of essential oil to the same amount.

Because it effectively cleans away various fungi and bacteria, it can be used for cleaning the house. A few drops with vinegar and water make a natural cleaning product.
It also helps remove stubborn odors from clothes. All you need to do is add a few drops of oil to the washing machine and the smell is gone.
