Myrtle essential oil

Myrtle essential oil is an extremely gentle oil, yet it works on a deep level.

It calms and balances the nervous system and heightens intuition and awareness. It connects a person to their higher self.

It opens the airways, acts as an expectorant, eases a runny nose and cough, and brings relief when you have a cold. It can be diluted in a carrier oil and applied to the chest and back.

Myrtle oil also has an affinity for the digestive system: it treats worms and parasites of all kinds, and eases ulcers, diarrhea and hemorrhoids. Apply it to the abdomen.

Myrtle oil is a gentle oil, which makes it an ideal choice for treating babies as well. It is effective for digestive or respiratory problems, and for intestinal parasites.

To treat worms, mix a few drops into shea butter and apply around the anus before bedtime.

Do not use as an undiluted essential oil on the skin; use only diluted in a carrier oil.
